路線図にとっても、春は別れと出会いの季節である。

寒さが和らぎ、桜が芽吹き始め、卒業生たちがはしゃぐ声が聞こえるころ。いくつかの路線図も「卒業」を迎える。3月は多くの鉄道会社がダイヤ改正を行う季節なのだ。

ダイヤを変更するタイミングで新駅開業や駅の廃止が行われ、路線図も更新される。いっそこの機会にリニューアルだ！という機運も高まる。路線図マニアにとって、これまで使っていた路線図に別れを告げ、新しい路線図に出会う季節。それが3月。

2021年の「路線図まちがいさがし」へ！

昨年3月は、JR山手線に49年ぶりの新駅である「高輪ゲートウェイ駅」が開業した。ただでさえ路線が密集する都心で、8文字という長い駅名を収める必要があり、JR東日本のみならず、東京メトロや都営地下鉄など、各私鉄にまでその影響が及んだ。そりゃもう大騒ぎであった（僕が）。

そのダイヤ改正が今年もやってきた！……のだが、今回は路線図自体はほぼ据え置きの傾向。終電時刻の繰り上げや減便といった、新型コロナウイルス感染拡大の影響を受けたダイヤ改正が中心に。

昨年が派手過ぎたというのもあるが、路線図マニア的にはちょっとさみしい。一応、新駅開業や駅名変更などの更新はあるが、新旧の路線図を見比べて「あっ」と気づく程度の変更である。これはもはや「まちがいさがし」ではないか。

ならばいっそ、新旧の路線図でまちがいさがしをしながら、今年のダイヤ改正を振り返ってみよう。
